The Center for Tactical Magic

The Center for Tactical Magic began in 2000 as a think-tank dedicated to the research, development, and deployment of all types of magic in the service of positive social transformation.  Inspired by studies with a private investigator, a magician, and a ninja, the Center for Tactical Magic works across barriers of contemporary art, martial arts, magical arts, and community service. The CTM’s collaborations have involved aquatic biologists, founding members of the Black Panther Party, radical ecologists, hypnotists, locksmiths, and the American Red Cross to name a few. Their activities have sought to cultivate discursive mirth

in all four hemispheres, frequently infiltrating multiple spheres of influence – social, cultural, and political – with notions of responsible citizenship through creative action.
